Matt loves food

So we started feeding Matt avocado a few weeks ago. And he loves it. Sara was really indifferent to food for a long time but Matt absolutely loves it. We recently gave him sweet potato (which is what the picture is) and he loves that as well.

One of Sara's favorite things is to feed her baby brother. He loves to be fed from his sister as well.

At Ren Fest

So we decided to take the kids to ren fest today. As you can see from the picture Sara got a huge waffle cone filled with chocolate ice cream. We found a cool puzzle shop where Sara and Greg did a really nice puzzle. We walked around and played in the kids area for awhile. Then we looked at shops more. Sara and I watched a glass blower make a blue champagne flute which was so neat to watch. Sara loved it and tried to convince me that she needed some blue blown glass (I disagreed so we did not get any glass). Sara was sad when it was time to go home but she fell asleep in the car.

Sara's second day of preschool

Sara wanted to take a picture this morning with Matt in her old hat. She is so excited about going back to school. We braided her hair last night after her bath and it made the morning so much easier.

Sara's first day of preschool

Today was Sara's first day of preschool. It was so exciting! Here is a picture of the big girl before we left for school.



Mommy, Daddy and Matthew went to drop her off. When we first got ready to leave she was sad that we were leaving her but then she had so much fun with her new friends. When we picked her up she told us that she painted and ate lunch and played on the playground and made new friends. So fun!

Sara says 9/12/10

Sara stuck her hand in Matthew's mouth. She pulled her hand back looking really concerned and told me that there was something hard in his mouth. I told her that he was growing teeth and that was what she was feeling. She got a huge smile on her face and said: I am so proud of brother!

Sara's first dental visit

Well we decided it was time for Sara to go to the dentist for the first time. We read a dora the explorer dentist book that we got from a friend for a couple days beforehand. Sara was a little nervous the day before. But as soon as we got to the dentist office she was ready to go.
She could not wait until it was her turn.

She ran back and sat right in the chair.

The dentist said her teeth looked great!

She was such a big girl and had no cavities. She got a ring and toothbrush and toothpaste at the end of it. Sara loved going to the dentist.

Sara says 8/26/10

Sara is just saying the cutest things. I need to update this blog more but I keep forgetting. She is laying next to me in bed and turned to me to say:
I have an idea. We go to sleep and then we wake up and we go to have ice cream. How bout that?

Sara says 6/27/10

Sara is at an age where she says some funny things. This morning she wanted to nurse (drink nummies)and Matt was not up yet. Mommy usually let Matt nurse first to make sure he gets enough since he is the baby. Mommy has been telling Sara that she drink so much water so she can make enough milk.

Sara: How about I drink 2 nummies?
Mommy: Well then there might not be enough milk for brother
Sara: Hmmm....why don't you drink more water? How about that?
Mommy: Well, it does not happen quite that quickly.
Sara: I know! You should make more a brother and sister
Mommy: You want me to make more Saras and Matthews?
Sara: No mommy- make more nummies. You could put on here (points to the middle of my stomach) and here (in a space right next to it). Then there would be lotta lotta milk. How about that?

A Day in the Life of Sara and Matt

It is 5am and Mommy just fed Matt and now he is back asleep.


Daddy got Matt ready for the day and he is waiting to go

We decided to go to Mommy and Me (and Daddy) at Congressional. Matt looks excited.

And then Sara decided to get her face painted

And then she decided to play on the rocks

Mommy and Daddy were hungry so we went out to lunch


After lunch Sara wanted to play in the fountain

Sara was excited when we got to the car because she got to open the candy that she got from one of the vendors

Aunt Nicole dropped Grammy Toni off at our house and she held us while we took a nap

And then Matt sat in the bumbo for the first time and loved it

We played with Grammy and then sat down for dinner

Then Grammy went home and Sara's friend came over

and Matt got ready for bed

while the mommies figured out how to make pillowcase dresses (we should be able to make them prettier next time)

Daddy gave me a bath

while Mommy fed Matt

And then we all went to sleep


What a fun day!
