What can Sara do?
Jumping Yes, very well actually.
Walking up stairs by himself Yep, she goes up and down the stair by herself.
Taking his clothes off Sara can take of her shirt, socks and diaper. Pants are too hard for her to get off
Trying to dress himself no idea, she has never tried.
Drawing cirles Nope, Sara still eats the crayons
Drawing lines Little squiggly lines, but she still eats the crayons, so we don't color much.
Climbing ladders at the playground Yep
Throwing/catching a ball Throws great, have not tried to see if she can catch it, but I doubt it.
Feeding self w/spoon and fork Better with a spoon than a fork, but is fine with an adult fork
Drinking out of open cup She can, but we don't let her often

Happy
I had to work for a few hours this morning When I got home Sara and Greg were watching TV in the living room (right near the front door). Greg said- Sara, mommy is home. Sara ran over and saw me and said- "happy" Then when I picked her up she said "Mommy cute" How sweet is that! It was so freaking cute, I about melted!

Silent cry
So we still use the changing table in her room. Greg took her up there to change her into a bedtime diaper since she had pooped. I was on the main level on my computer. I hear a HUGE crash. I run up and Greg was picking up Sara who was doing the silent cry. Oh it was so sad. Apparently she stood up, stepped off the table, hit the diaper pail and then the dresser and then the wall. Poor baby. She seems to be okay, but it scared the hell out of Greg and I. Poor Greg, he was soooo upset. Holy shit though when I heard that crash I about had a heart attack.

Regular cups
Yep, Sara can drink out of a regular cup but we try not to let her. She actually prefers to dump it on herself and then run around soaking wet

Playing with my friend
My day
-Sara got up at 6am (instead of 8:30)
-Sara cried everytime I got into bed
-Around 8ish I decided to stuff diapers, she took off the diaper she was wearing...it was filled with poop
-She then tried to run around the bed as I was chasing her thinking it was a game, rubbing poop all over the sheets
-She finally looks down and sees the poop and then gets freaked out.
-I grab her, wipe her off and take the sheets to the laundry
-I realize she still smells like poop so I throw her in the tub
-I turn around to grab a towel and she grabs my razor (I just got a new one and remembered to move the old one, but not the new one)
-She cuts her thumb
-I get her out of the tub, and dry her off
-Her thumb is still bleeding
-I try to put a bandaid on it, everytime she pulls it off, therefore making it bleed more
-She has blood on her tummy, legs, arms, because she keeps hitting her thumb against it
-I finally get her to sit down and nurse and I can apply pressure to her thumb to stop the bleeding
-She falls asleep at 9
-I woke her up at 10am and told her we were going to see a friend so she let me dress her
and then we met Sigalle and Elisha and that made it all okay!
Yay for Sigalle and Elisha!
We went to the mall, the kids ran around on the play area and then we went to lunch

Babbling
So Sara has a pretty good vocabulary. It used to be where she would string a word or 2 together and we knew what it was. This weekend she started saying a bunch of new sounds, but not words. Greg thinks that she is just trying to work out new words, and she still has the same old words, but I don't know it is just harder to understand her right now. It is weird. Could it be her trying to work out new words? Should I be concerned? It is so weird.

Chatty
Sara is actually pretty chatty lately. She needs to tell me everything that is happening at all times and is always asking questions. These are some of my fav
baby down- When she throws her baby doll
baby eat- num num num- when she is pretending to feed her doll
what's that?- to everything she does not know
where'd it go?
oh no, it dirty- whenever she eats and gets food on herself
She also knows our first names which cracks me up. If I ask her who Stacy, Greg or Toni (my mom) she will point to the appropriate person.

Picky eater
What, you mean they are supposed to eat 3 meals a day? LOL Sara is definitely a picky eater. Some days she will eat almost nothing. Today she some little yogurt bites and some french fries. Nothing else. Maybe tomorrow will be a big food day. Hopefully.

Who are we
Hi!
I am Stacy, mama to Sara Rose (20 months) and married to Greg.
Let's see we:
still are bfing (a lot, at least 4 times a day)
Greg wore Sara when she was little
cloth diaper full time
no CIO
We co-sleep (actually Greg and Sara sleep in the basement and I sleep in the bedroom. I know it is weird, but it works for us)
We swaddled Sara until she was 4/5 months old
What else...Greg and I both work full-time and my mom watches Sara and definitely parents the same way we do, in fact even more gentle parenting than we do (she has the patience of a saint with Sara)
